Based in Southern Tas, Merima has extensive knowledge and experience in injury management, vocational assessments and vocational rehabilitation counselling, particularly with mental health cases. Merima has vast experience with working within the Tasmanian Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation legislation and guidelines to establish return to work goals and attain results, as well as facilitating return to work programs for non-work related conditions.
Merima is a WorkCover accredited IMC and holds a Master of Rehabilitation Counselling and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology. Merima has a passion for supporting workers with psychological injuries, whilst maintaining a pro-active, best-practice approach when achieving return to work and rehabilitation goals. Merima is also competent and experienced with physical injuries and has worked with a wide range of clients and industries.
Merima has a pragmatic yet supportive approach and is committed to achieving rehabilitation goals through proactive, prompt and regular contact with relevant parties and assisting the worker in achieving return to work goals in a timely, safe and sustainable manner.
